, the 115-year-old, family-owned Scottish shortbread bakery, will host an interactive booth at the 2013 Britweek celebrations taking place in Santa Monica on Saturday May 4 and Sunday, May 5. Walkers’ booth will be located between Broadway and Santa Monica Boulevard on the Third Street Promenade, block 1400, and will offer a fun, free social media kiosk, a “doggie-themed” red carpet, and product for sale benefitting the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and the local non-profit rescue shelter, Take Me Home Rescue.

Attendees can share their red carpet appearance at the Walkers booth by using the fun, free social media kiosk to upload their photos to Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Rescue dogs from Take Me Home Rescue, a non-profit and volunteer-based rescue shelter working to bring happy and healthy pets to residents of California, will be on site and ready for same-day adoption.

Additionally, boxes of Scottie dog cookies and special edition Scottie dog tins will be available for purchase, benefitting Walkers’ sponsorship of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Walkers will contribute a percentage of all sales of these items to both the ASPCA and Take Me Home Rescue in support of their efforts to end animal cruelty and homelessness.
