On Wednesday, June 19th the BABC LA Transatlantic Law Council will host a Business Networking Mixer on the subject of Responding to the Threat of Cybercrime at the Law Offices of Sheppard Mullin, 1901 Avenue of the Stars, Suite 1600, in Century City.
Many companies now identify cyber security as their number one concern as cyber-attacks and security breaches are increasing in frequency, sophistication and severity. Cyber criminals are targeting multiple industries to steal data or disrupt business operations in critical sectors. The panel at this informative event will discuss how to combat the threat of cyber-crime by, for example, designing effective technical solutions, prosecuting computer crimes, and preparing to handle security breaches.
Registration begins at 6pm with the program and Q&A scheduled for 6.30-7.45pm. A cocktail reception to follow thereafter. Entry is complimentary. Speakers will include Bob Rose, Partner at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hapton LLC, and West Hsu, Assistant US Attorney in the Department of Justice, Section Chief of the LA Cyber and Intellectual Property Crimes Section. Registration can be done in advance by visiting: http://www.sheppardmullin.com/events-627.html.
