So this is our 4th week writing for The British Weekly. We are getting such great feedback, so thank you to everyone!
Our Meet A Member section is proving rather popular. Someone asked if I could add the question “What is your relationship status” – blimey! Craig has actually set up a dating group called the Bringles. We are yet to host our first event, but you can join on Facebook if you are looking for a bit of romance.
It has been an exciting week, what with British tennis player Andy Murray finally winning Wimbledon, then we still have the impending Royal birth of Baby Cambridge. Zara Phillips is also expecting, so congratulations to her too. Check our website (britsin.la) for our very own celebration “A Very Royal Baby Shower” coming up on Sunday July 28th at Palihouse in West Hollywood. Tickets will go on sale shortly. We are delighted to have Volkswagen Santa Monica, Pacific Audi and Beltran Brito Immigration Attorneys on board and sponsor this event.
We managed to catch up with our fellow columnist Sean Borg at our Drag Queen Bingo event too, thank you to everyone who came out to support. Robin Antin of Pussy Cat Dolls fame, hosted for us, which was rather exciting.
Our monthly pub crawl will be on Thursday July 25th, we are taking votes on our Facebook page to see what the next location should be, so make sure to put your two cents in!
Lots of other fun stuff coming up this week too. Gina Yashere’s trivia night is on Saturday, which you can read all about over in the Meet A Member section. Miserable Lesbians is a sell out, – can’t wait to see that either.
