WHAT with all the recent hoo-hah about William and Kate’s first born it may have escaped the notice of local expat Brits that we’ve just had another royal birth a little closer to home.
Yesterday afternoon, (Thursday August 15) in Los Angeles Lord Freddie Windsor and wife Sophie Winkleman (pictured, left) welcomed their first child, a baby girl. The royal British couple’s daughter weighed 7 lbs. at birth, and was named Maud Elizabeth Daphne Marina. She is 42nd in line to the throne.
Just in case you’re wondering, Lord Frederick is the son of Prince Michael of Kent, Queen Elizabeth’s cousin. Freddie 34 and Sophie, 33, wed at Hampton Court Palace in London in September 2009. According to The Daily Mail, the couple is currently living in L.A. while Winkleman, who has appeared on Two and A Half Men, pursues her acting career and Windsor works as a financial analyst.
Congratulations to them both!
