She has won an Oscar, nine Grammys, and has sold millions of albums around the world – so it’s only right that Adele now has a few letters after her name like um, MBE!
The 25-year-old star collected her honor this week at Buckingham Palace from Prince Charles and her full title is now MissAdele Adkins MBE, oo-er!
The Someone Like You singer, who achieved worldwide success with her second album 21, looked relaxed as she chatted to the Prince of Wales before being bestowed with her title.
The notoriously private star did not talk to the press at the prestigious event, but posed happily with her medal.
The royal honor tops off a great year for Miss Adkins. Although she didn’t release any new material, she won an Oscar for the James Bond theme song Skyfall at the start of the year, and it was announced that “21″ is Amazon’s biggest-selling album of all time, with 28 million copies being sold around the world.
Adele has been lying low since the birth of her son Angelo last year. Congrats to my fave singer ever… We love you Adele!!!
