TV’s Mr Nasty, Simon Cowell has finally gone all gooey!
The X Factor UK judge showed his softer side as he took to Twitter this week to reveal the name of his new baby boy with Lauren Silverman!
“Very happy to say Eric was born at 17.45pm. Healthy and handsome,” the 54-year-old the first-time dad tweeted.
In the released shots, Cowell tenderly holds his newborn son saying: “I never knew how much love and pride I would feel.”
Proud Simon couldn’t contain his excitement following the arrival of Eric on Friday and posted a series of heart melting pictures of the three-day-old on his Twitter account.
He told his 9.5million followers: “Now you can see how very handsome little Eric is” as he was photographed gently holding his hand while touching his face as the baby slept.
Another picture, all of which were posted in black and white tonight, showed him cradling diaper-donning newborn as exhausted mum Lauren Silverman beamed with delight.
Simon wrote: “Mum, Dad and Eric. Now two days old.”
However the most touching image showed the former “American Idol” judge holding his son to his chest as he slept.
Within minutes, the picture had gone viral, leading to more than 23,000 retweets worldwide within an hour of it being posted.
The pair brought their new bouncing bundle of joy home from Lenox Hill Hospital on Sunday as the beaming music mogul held tightly onto little Eric’s car seat while his partner Silverman walked beside him as they arrived at the St Regis Hotel.
Well-done Simon… Who’d have thought this of you a year ago? See, miracles can happen!
