Amanda Eliasch graces cover of Genlux Magazine

Amanda Eliasch is known about town for many things – a wealthy socialite who decided to use her financial luck in life to develop her many, many talents. This month, Eliasch’s vivacious beauty can be seen on the cover of high-end Los Angeles glossy Genlux Magazine.

amanda-eliaschAmanda’s creativity seems endless and behind what first appears to be a dizzy blonde wanting to be part of the “who’s who” in Tinseltown, you quickly realize that Eliasch is so much more.

For instance, she is a photographer, an artist, a writer/blogger, fashion editor of Genlux and if that wasn’t enough, just recently she turned her hand to movie-making to bring to life The Gun, the Cake, and the Butterfly – a film, that according to notes in her press-kit tells the tale of the “twisted, sensual path of her life”.

As we watch the story (basically her life) unfolding before our very eyes we watch Amanda (sometimes with our jaws agape) as it weaves through the loss of innocence in her often-tragic childhood, into the luxurious world of love and sex in high society…

Oo-er…sounds rather intense, eh?

The flick has already won SEVEN independent film awards including Ischia, the Lina Wertmuller prize, and a New York City International Film Festival award, and the media are definitely starting to take an interest in Amanda’s often-complicated private life.

In Genlux Magazine this month we get to read about her playful side, and by her own admission that she can sometimes be a bit of a prima donna.

No… Amanda? Surely not…

“I suppose I’m turning into one [prima donna]. I like drama, but I’d rather give that up. I don’t think I’m a diva, perhaps I am,”she tells Genlux’s creative director, Stephen Kamifuji.

As for her incredible film, BritWeek has made it a part of their event calendar in this year’s celebration of all that is British in LA. BritWeek will be holding a special screening of “The Gun, the Cake, and the Butterfly” at the Arclight in Hollywood on April 29.

So, whatever Amanda Eliasch’s name means to some – many love her, and some don’t, I reckon you will have a coup de foudre when you meet this lucky chick…!

To be a part of  this special BritWeek screening and the chance to see Amanda Eliasch’s film, RSVP for your invite to: Events@indie-pr.com
