Was there a particular reason you chose LA?
Yes, funny story, I came home from Thanksgiving dinner last November to find that my house had been destroyed from a huge fire on our block, I took it as a sign from the universe that it was time to head out west. Ok, so that didn’t sound very funny but I swear it was a blessing in disguise!
What one thing do you miss from home?
Baltimore has a lot of things to miss – rooftop decks, Camden Yards, crab pretzels, Old Bay. I mostly miss being able to walk anywhere. Seriously, you could walk anywhere you needed to go, take a $5 cab if you were wearing heels, or grab the water taxi if you needed to get on the other side of town.
What do you find the biggest difference is living here versus your hometown?
The people! There’s a lot of positive energy out here and a ton of “go-getters”.
Do you have a hidden gem in LA that you want to share with us?
Yes! I’m obsessed with all Mexican food and quickly discovered El Cholo. Highly recommended, but I’ll only tell you where it is if you bring me with you.
What would you suggest to others who are thinking about making the move here?
100,000,000% do it! LA is an amazing place where if you can dream it, you can do it. And you’ll meet amazing people along the way!
