A VARIED cast of gifted performers will present An Evening of Shakespeare on Friday, April 25th at 7:30pm at the Moss Theater at New Roads School in Santa Monica, General and VIP tickets are now on sale HERE.
Nineteen leading actors will perform sonnets, readings and songs to celebrate the Bard’s 450th birthday, and the evening is hosted by the performers Ioan Gruffudd (pictured) and Joely Fisher. The actors scheduled to perform are Ashley Bell, Eric Braeden, Claudia Christian, Nigel Daly, Neil Dickson, Mira Furlan, Judy Geeson, Michele Greene, Harry Hamlin, Ross King, Malcolm McDowell, David Melville, Jane Seymour, Joan Van Ark, Sophie Winkleman, Robert Wisdom and Michael York.
BritWeek’s Evening of Shakespeare, Music and Love is presented by Beverly Hills Wealth Management, with a portion of the proceeds supporting the Hobart Elementary Shakespeareans and the Inner City Shakespeare Ensemble, two leading LA based Shakespeare programs.
Martin Neary, once organist and master of the Choristers at Westminster Abbey, will direct the Millennium Consort Singers performing choral masterpieces from the Renaissance throughout the program. Sherry Williams will sing jazz classics from Shakespeare’s Songbook.
Aston Martin will host the exclusive VIP reception.
