What was meant to be a brief holiday to the US with her BFF has turned out to be a fun-filled tour of the Hollywood’s red carpet scene for Made In Chelsea star Kimberly Garner.
For those not in the know, Made in Chelsea is a wildly-popular British reality TV show featuring the lives and loves of well-heeled young things gadding about on the King’s Road, Sloane Square and other Chelsea locales, as well as filming their exotic jaunts to Dubai, Paris, and St. Tropez to name just three.
The Chelsea girl channeled her inner LA fashionista while hitting the celeb-zone in Hollywood last week when she attended the opening night for Britweek, where she rubbed shoulders with some of LA’s elite Brits.
The fun didn’t stop there though, since then, sexy Kimberley has pretty much launched a campaign to make a name for herself in Tinseltown and so far, she’s doing a pretty good job, I reckon.
This week, the vivacious blonde – who runs her own swimwear company in England, attended the screening of Amanda Eliasch‘s film The Gun the Cake and the Butterfly at the Arclight in Hollywood on Monday night.
Kimberley seemed to have a lot of energy as she posed alongside the docudrama’s writer and director Eliasch, who uses various actresses, including Justine Glenton, as her alter egos to tell the story, which is a glimpse of her remarkable life.
Garner gave the stylish experimental portrait of Eliasch – who is a successful fashion editor/poet/writer/artist – a big thumbs up at the event’s after-party.
The screening was put on as part of BritWeek, a non-profit organisation co-founded by former Pop Idol judge Nigel Lythgoe to highlight the creative fusion between the UK and LA.
It looks as if Garner’s publicity crusade is working in her favor; the young blonde is currently putting together plans to launch her already popular swimwear collection, Stateside…
Kimberley told British Weekly: “I’ve wanted to design swimwear since I was young girl, this has always been my dream.
“I brought my collection out last year and I was amazed by the reception, so about 8 months ago, I started designing the new collection. I wanted it be more intricately designed, more detailed.”
Just what Hollywood needed…another successful Brit in LA!
