Meet Joanna Ranee Wood from Oxfordshire who moved to LA four years ago to pursue acting ….and now works as an actress.
Was there a particular reason you chose LA?
Work and weather! It’s a fantastic lifestyle, lots of friendly people and an abundance of cool and beautiful things to see and do!
What one thing do you miss from home?
If I can only say one, my family and if I can say two, Jaffa Cakes!
What do you find the biggest difference is living here versus the UK?
The can-do attitude and constant blue skies!
Do you have a hidden gem in LA that you want to share with us?:
Hollywood Reservoir- perfect for a 5K run or a leisurely stroll. You get great views and it’s so peaceful! And Totes Juices, Sherman Oaks – delicious juices! All the ingredients are organic and seasonal.
What would you suggest to others who are thinking about making the move here?
Go for it! Do your research and pack the sunscreen!
What are you working on at the moment?
I just worked on a couple of cool commercials and a feature film. Auditioning and co-writing a couple of projects too!
