Gary Oldman backs Mel in shocking rant…

[adrotate group=”9″]

gary-oldmanThe British actor Gary Oldman spoke out in support of two of Tinseltown’s most notorious “outcasts”.

First, Oldman backed Mel Gibson, who has been shunned by the movie world after anti-Jewish and racist rants.

Then he threw his weight behind Alec Baldwin, who has been branded homophobic.

Gary, who stars in the new Planet Of The Apes flick, now faces being shunned himself by touchy producers.

The screen legend, said: “I just think political correctness is crap. That’s what I think about it.

“I think it’s like, take a f***ing joke. Get over it.”

Braveheart star Mel made anti-Jewish slurs when he was arrested for drink-driving in Malibu in 2006. According to police, he said to his arresting officer: “F***ing Jews … the Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world.”

Gary added, when questioned about the fallout: “Mel got drunk and said a few things. But we’ve all said those things.

“We’re all f***ing hypocrites. The policeman who arrested him has never used the word ‘n****r’ or ‘that f***ing Jew’?“ I’m being brutally honest here, it’s the hypocrisy of it that drives me crazy.” He said Mel, who has since apologized, calling it a moment of “insanity”, was now treated “like an outcast, a leper”.

Gary, speaking to Playboy ahead of the release of Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes, out here on July 11, then turned his attention to 30 Rock actor Alec.

He said: “Alec called someone an F.A.G. in the street while he’s p***ed off coming out of his building because they won’t leave him alone.

“I don’t blame him.”

Hmm, there are better ways to promote your films, Gary!
