Meet Erin Gavin from Glasgow, Scotland who moved to LA four years ago to pursue acting and producing.
Was there a particular reason you chose LA?
I played a role in a thriller called Dread for Evolution Productions, which was filmed in London. Evolution decided to represent me in Los Angeles.
What one thing do you miss from home?
I miss Irn Bru! My favourite drink.
What do you find the biggest difference is living here versus the UK?
The obvious difference…the weather but also the opportunities for artists is greater in Los Angeles.
Do you have a hidden gem in LA that you want to share with us?
I love going to the Macha Theatre on North Kings Road in West Hollywood. They have a variety of fantastic shows…in fact I casted for one and now I am playing Marilyn Monroe in Marilyn, My Secret on the 15th, 16th, 22nd and 23rd of August 🙂
What would you suggest to others who are thinking about making the move here?
Fantasy and following your dreams is one thing but be realistic and see yourself as YOUR business…work smart, effectively and really plan your move.
