Jamie Dornan can act! Seriously folks…he can! I have just discovered that the good-looking actor and model from Belfast is so much more than a pretty face.
After binging on the Netflix original drama series “The Fall” starring Gillian Anderson and the very lovely Mr. Dornan I became gripped by its intensity, I couldn’t stop watching it.
Not just because Jamie has drop dead gorgeous looks, but because he is real actor, and I never knew it… The boy in all those sexy Calvin Klein underwear shots actually pulled it off!
Now every casting director in Hollywood is banging on this bloke’s door… Or kicking it down, just to get to him!
The Irish star made his feature debut in Sofia Coppola‘s Marie Antoinette, and played Sheriff Graham/The Huntsman in ABC’s Once Upon a Time.
However, unlike his roles as Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey and a serial killer in The Fall, Dornan, in his new role he plays a heroic idealist and outlaw in Acorn TV’s new miniseries, New Worlds.
Set in the turbulent aftermath of the English Civil War, King Charles II’s tyrannical rule has led to a climate of violence and fear in England and the American colonies. Amid the chaos, four young, courageous idealists fall in love as they commit to forging a fairer future with blood, passion and urgency. But to achieve this, they must be prepared to pay the ultimate price.
New Worlds was created and written by Peter Flannery and Martine Brandt (“The Devils Whore”) and co-produced by Company Pictures and Power.
As for Dornan, I reckon he is going be around for a very long time indeed. I wasn’t, but now I am actually looking forward to seeing “Fifty Shades of Grey”… Bring it on!
