There are so many words, and yet there are none. No words can describe the sadness of the passing of a friend that once filled important and memorable days in one’s life with laughter, fantasy and lots of fun.
Amy Watts did this in my life, and on many occasions back in the day… I was the Doctor and Amy (for a short time) was my assistant. I still have the sonic screwdriver she bought me for my birthday in 2008.
Though I had known and worked with Amy for many years back in the UK, when she first arrived in Los Angeles I became her “go-to” pal.
I helped Amy find an apartment and even convinced Tom Cruise to pose with her for The Daily Star as we lunched at the Beverly Hills Hotel. We cried tears of laughter and sadness when we both went through heartbreaking relationship break-ups. We were there for each other and we fell out more times than I can remember… Amy even wrote my blogs because I wasn’t a confident writer and she was so brilliant at it. She helped me.
There is not enough space on this page to tell you everything, but I can tell you that through all the ups and downs we went through – Amy Watts was a remarkable person – complicated, passionate, witty and beyond talented. We often lived in wonderland and traveled in the Tardis in our fantasies.
Her time on this earth was cut short this week… But there is a whole universe out there now and Amy can finally travel to the stars. Allons-y!
R.I.P Amy Watts, my memories of you will never fade. #HoldAmysHand xox
