One of our favorite Scottish exports, Red-headed beauty Karen Gillan will return for Guardians Of The Galaxy 2, but this time she will be able keep her hair according to director James Gunn.
In a recent Twitter-chat, Gunn – the writer and director the first movie – confirmed his treatment for GOTG2 has been completed and that filming will begin in February next year.
He said, “I turned in my treatment. I’m going to meet about it on Friday and we will start working on the screenplay next week.”
Oo-er!
Now the hit-movie maker has taken to social media once again, this time to confirm, among other things, that Brit actress Gillan will reprise her role as Nebula – the adopted daughter Thanos – in the sequel to the smash hit comic-book flick.
The former Doctor Who star – who played the bald villainess in the last film – will be pleased to hear that Gunn has come up with a way for her to take on the role without having to shave her head.
In the announcement made by the 44-year-old director it was also made clear that the villain from the first movie – the recurring villain (in the comic books at least) Ronan, who was played by Lee Pace, will not be returning despite being a prominent figure in the comic-books.
He said: “Ronan is a bad guy, we killed him. Not everything is going to happen in the movies the same as the comics.”
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is slated for release on May 5, 2017.
