I’m told James Bond star Daniel Craig is heading for a galaxy far, far away as he takes a small part in Star Wars: The Force Awakens…
Oo-er!
It seems that Daniel is a huge fan of the iconic films and was keen for an anonymous small part in the upcoming J.J. Abrams’ reboot.
The news was spilled by Craig’s big-mouthed pal, Simon Pegg, who spends plenty of time whizzing around in spaceships in his own sci-fi franchise. Pegg plays the engineer Scottie in the latest Star Trek films, which, coincidentally were directed by Abrams before he jumped (space) ship for Star Wars.
The actor was being asked if he had sneaked in for a secret role in his old director’s new franchise and blabbed about Craig instead.
“I wasn’t a Stormtrooper. Daniel Craig, he was a Stormtrooper,” he blurted out, before desperately adding, “I shouldn’t have said that.”
Umm, bit late for that now Pegg!
Apparently, Craig filmed a scene as one of the Empire’s fearsome white-armoured soldiers last September.
Since they all usually wear their distinctive uniforms and helmets head to toe at all times, it will be impossible to actually tell which one he is when the film comes out this December.
May the force be with you Mr. Bond!
