If Amy Winehouse wasn’t long gone (God rest her soul)… I swear, after seeing this pic I would have been convinced that somewhere out there she was alive and kicking and back on stage!
Earlier this week, singer Raign posted a throwback pic on her Facebook page that shows her performing dressed up as Winehouse, and by golly she is a dead ringer for the late superstar…
Oo-er!
You must remember Raign, real name Rachel Rabin, she was that feisty contestant who appeared on last years X Factor (UK) and tried to convince the judges (all but Cheryl) that she had what it takes to be Britain’s newest star.
Well, all didn’t go exactly to plan…
Raign performed her amazing track ‘Don’t Let Me Go’ that also featured on the hit TV show ‘Vampire Diaries’ on 2014’s X Factor, but the singer failed to go through to the finals after a much-publicized spat with that annoying judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini who on numerous occasions expressed that she couldn’t stand Rabin, and sadly that was the end of Raign’s TV reign so to speak…
However, since this picture was posted it has ignited much interest and Raign’s army of loyal fans who are now demanding more Raign, as Winehouse.
Raign told the British Weekly: “It’s a funny story how it all came about, I was doing karaoke in Surbiton, England singing the famous Amy track, Black to Black just for fun and a girl came up to me and said her boyfriend was a guitarist in a band and they needed an Amy Winehouse style singer.
“Next thing, I went to an audition three weeks later. I got the job and that was that.”
A picture is worth a thousand words, so if this pic is anything to go by anything can happen… We all know that Raign can sing, bless her heart… So how about you pen ‘Amy’ the musical?
