British star Robert Pattinson has been dating his fiancée FKA Twigs for more than a year now.
However, he does not talk much about his love life, and it’s clear the actor understands all too well what havoc can be caused by the haters…
But according to seventeen.com, the handsome hottie recently took some time out to praise his main squeeze, describing FKA – real name Tahliah Debrett Barnett – as ‘an amazing, amazing artist”.
The actor also spoke about the racist haters that his girlfriend had to deal as a result of dating him, adding that he did not find it amusing at all.
“I was talking to my dad about this and I bet him that if he looked up Nelson Mandela’s funeral on YouTube, the first comment would be a racist one,” said RPatz. “And it was, with like a million upvotes.
“What I don’t get is why,” he continued. “I think it’s because most normal people are not commenters – I’ve never met anyone who’s left a comment on anything. It’s just demons who live in basements.”
Rob admits he’s had the urge to fight back against the racist hate FKA receives, but thinks it’s a losing battle and it’s better not to poke the beast. “You have this weird thing where you end up trying to fight against this faceless blob, where the more you hate it, the bigger it gets, because it’s all in your head,” he said.
Pattison made his first big splash on celluloid in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire…and we think he’s still magic!
