The odd couple lathered up for a Sport Relief sketch due to be aired on Friday night in the UK with James in character as Gavin and Stacey favorite Smithy.
Filmed a few weeks before Becks’ World Cup-ending Achilles injury, the pair look quite at home among the foam together, although sadly the bubbles covered David’s modesty.
And James was impressed.
He said: ‘I just wanted to lick him. Honestly, he was unbelievably nice. We went out for dinner, we went out, we socialised, we had a great time.’
‘The impact he has on everyone he meets is amazing. He was just lovely. I do feel like I sort of fell in love with him, genuinely.’
