Geri Horner (formerly Halliwell) AKA Ginger Spice says she quit the girl group because she wasn’t comfortable being part of the group any more.

geri-halliwellGeri shocked fans in 1998 by walking off midway through their Spiceworld European Tour.

She now reveals: “There was a moment I decided to leave the band.

“I felt like it had grown into this huge monster, bigger than the individuals, bigger than the band itself.

“Obviously there was a bit of ruction in the band and I was like: ‘I just don’t want to do this any more.”

Another thing that pushed Geri, 44, to the edge was the girls – she admits they weren’t getting along.

She adds: “It was like: ‘You’re getting on my nerves and I don’t know how to talk this through, so I’m out of here.”

But the Watford-born lass now recognises she could have handled it better.

Geri says: “It was quite immature, looking back.”

Geri, Mel B and Emma Bunton have reunited and are expected to perform new material in London’s Hyde Park next July.

Can’t wait for that!
