Meghan Markle certainly knows how to win the peoples hearts that’s for sure… But it would appear she has also won the hearts of the Royal family too according to insiders, by being invited to Queen Elizabeth‘s official Christmas luncheon.

The Queen’s festive lunch at Buckingham Palace is an annual tradition enjoyed by all members of her family – and this year that includes bride-to-be Meghan.
Markle could be seen making her way to the royal party with Prince Harry, who drove them to the Palace on Wednesday afternoon. She chose an elegant lace Self-Portrait dress for the occasion, paired with diamond earrings from Canadian fine jewellery brand Birks.
With a number of royals expected to attend, it’s thought that the event will be an opportunity for Markle to meet Harry’s extended family before they tie the knot in Windsor next year.
The Duke of Cambridge was also pictured driving his family to the lunch, with the Duchess of Cambridge in the passenger seat and Prince George and Princess Charlotte sitting in the back with their nanny.
Many other royals, including the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, were also due to attend the gathering.
The festive lunch takes place at the Queen’s London residence every year before the monarch leaves the capital for her annual break at Sandringham. It has been confirmed that Prince Harry and Markle will also be joining the family on Christmas Day this year.
The newly-engaged couple are likely to be seen in public again when they attend church on the Queen’s private estate in Norfolk.
Earlier in December, a spokesperson for Kensington Palace said: “You can expect to see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry and Ms Markle at Sandringham on Christmas Day.”
The are celebrating their recent engagement with the release of their official portrait photographs putting Meghan firmly in the (ahem) frame so to speak… Where the pair appear royally in love in the stunning snaps shared by Kensington Palace on Thursday, which was taken earlier this week at Frogmore House in Windsor by fashion photographer Alexi Lubomirski.
