The Orange County chapter of the British American Business Council has scheduled a networking mixer at Jo Malone London on April 12th from 5.30-730pm. The event will feature networking, snacks and ‘a special Jo Malone London treat’.
Jo Malone London is located at in the Costa Mesa’s South Coast Plaza at 3333 Bristol Street, Ste. 2421 (Nordstrom wing). The store is one of the global outposts of the Jo Malone brand, which has been one of THE British retail success stories of the past three decades.
Malone was born in November 1963, and grew up in a council house in Bexleyheath, Kent, and had severe dyslexia and left school without any qualifications, before creating the company with her mother Eileen. She introduced high-end scented candles to the British consumer and is also known for her bespoke fragrances and coveted bath and body care products. In the 1990s her brand enjoyed explosive growth with outlets in high streets the length and breadth of Britain before Jo sold her company to Estée Lauder for ‘undisclosed millions’.
