Pop singer Zayn Malik is rumored to have ditched half of his new album following his split from supermodel Gigi Hadid.

The former One Direction star is thought to have penned a number of love songs about his former girlfriend for his second solo offering, but has been forced to drop them after their shock break-up.
According to close friends, Malik had been close to finishing his forthcoming record but completion has now been set back after the pair called quits on their two-year romance earlier this month.
“Zayn has been hard at work on this album for about 18 months,” a source told the Daily Star.
“During most of that time he was completely head over heels in love with Gigi so that’s what he wrote about.
“There’s lots of songs about their love, passion and sensuality. But some of the songs are more painful to him than loving now.”
The British singer is keen to tackle the breakdown of their relationship in a series of new songs to “process” his feelings.
Malik and Hadid confirmed their “mutual” decision to end their relationship earlier this month in social media statements.
“Gigi and I had an incredibly meaningful, loving and fun relationship and I have a huge amount of respect and adoration for Gigi as a woman and a friend,” Malik wrote on Instagram.
“She has such an incredible soul. I’m grateful to all of our fans for respecting this difficult decision and our privacy at this time, we wish this news could have come from us first. We love you all.”
Hadid later added: “Breakup statements often seem impersonal because there is really no way to put into words what two people experience together over a few years.. not only in the relationship, but in life in general. I’m forever grateful for the love, time, and life lessons that Z and I shared.”
She continued: “I want nothing but the best for him and will continue to support him as a friend that I have immense respect and love for.
“As for the future, whatever’s meant to be will always be. xG.”
