KCET, the nation’s largest independent public television station, announced this week that season eight of VERA will premiere on the channel in June. The incomparable Brenda Blethyn returns as the unorthodox but brilliant DCI Vera Stanhope, investigating more chilling crimes that only she can solve. Based on the bestselling Inspector Stanhope novels by Ann Cleeves, Vera and her team are drawn into more compelling cases that take her from violent car crashes to buried secrets. VERA season eight will premiere Wed., June 13 at 9 p.m. on KCET.
