We’ve not even finished August yet, but summer seems to be over already, alas…
But not of course for Elton John, and husband David Furnish who are ‘winding down’ their summer by lapping up some sunshine with David and Victoria Beckham who swapped south-west London for the south of France and to join “uncle” Elton for a boating trip.

The showbiz couple who are celebrating 25 years of friendship with the singing superstar could be seen lounging about in their chic summer getup, posing to the camera like the social media pros they are, while Elton rocked his signature flamboyant style – floral shirt, colourful shoes and those trademark tinted sunnies.
David then also posted a photo to his Instagram, writing: “Uncle Elton…. We have known each other now for 25 years… Fun times with each other.”
Fans of the famous friends also enjoyed seeing the holiday snaps, with one Instagrammer commenting on David’s picture: “Two great legends, one boat, one love…everyday is paradise.”
Another said: “My fav player and my fav singer in one pic.”
Meanwhile, someone else commented on Elton John’s photo to point out a minor miracle that was taking place: “She’s actually smiling! The world has waited years! Hats off to you vic!”
The Beckhams and Sir Elton have been close for more than two decades and the Yellow Brick Road singer was due to perform at the couple’s wedding in 1999 before suffering a heart attack that prevented him from playing.
He later sang at one of the Beckham children’s christenings.
