Beckham admits his marriage ‘is complicated’

David Beckham and Victoria Beckham were thrown into the spotlight again this summer amid rumours their marriage was coming to an end.

Bookies suspended bets on the pair getting divorced in June, increasing speculation the stars would head their separate ways.   They quickly rubbished the claims, labelling them a “crock of s***”, “ridiculous” and “nonsense”.

And now, David has spoken publicly about his 19-year marriage in an interview with Australian TV show The Sunday Project.

In a trailer for the show, he says: “To have been married for the amount of time we have, it’s always hard work.

“It becomes a little bit more complicated.”

Oo-er!

The former Manchester United star married Victoria, former member of the Spice Girls and now a fashion mogul, in 1999 at Luttrellstown Castle, Ireland.

The couple have four children together – Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 16, Cruz, 13, and Harper, 7.

David was part of United’s famous “Class of ’92”, winning the Treble in 1999 under Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Englishman made nearly 400 appearances for the club and captained the national team 59 times.

He met Victoria after a game at Old Trafford when she was still with the Spice Girls, known at the time as “Posh Spice”.

The Spice Girls are still one of the best-selling female groups of all time, with millions of records sold worldwide.

Any thoughts on this one, Victoria!?

The Sunday Project airs on Australia’s Network Ten at 6.30pm on Sunday.
