Our best bets for New Year’s Eve

THERE’s lots of places to celebrate the New Year but the old favorites will likely be the best, with the King’s Head, the Cock & Bull and the Cat & Fiddle topping our recommendations.

The King’s Head in Santa Monica will feature live DJ and champagne toast as they welcome the British New Year in at 4pm, then the American one eight hours later.

A little down Lincoln Boulevard they’ll be following the same routine at the Cock & Bull, with free buffet and a DJ to welcome in the British New Year at 4pm.

Michael Quarterman will be spinning at the Cat & Fiddle

If you are closer to Hollywood then the Cat & Fiddle on Highland Avenue may be your best best. They will have their annual British New Year celebration at 4.00pm hosted by British expat and DJ Michael Quarterman, who you may remember from his stints on radio show Breakfast w the Beatles. Michael will be spinning his ‘Quintessentially British’ songs, back by popular demand, from 2.00pm – 6.00pm. Then he will return for the American New Year festivities from 9.00pm – 1.00am. The Cat and Fiddle is located at 742 North Highland Avenue. Reservations recommended.
