Beckham’s ‘Peaky’ appearance sets tongues wagging – briefly!

David Beckham  caused eyebrows to be raised about a shock new career movie after he was snapped on the set of hit BBC series Peaky Blinders.

Onlookers reportedly spotted the Manchester United legend dressed like the period drama gangsters from the show as he made his way home from the set in Stockport.

And in a photo shared to still film photographer Robert Viglasky’s Instagram account, the star can be seen cosying up to various members of staff from the set, including the show’s creator, Steven Knight.

The sports star recently collaborated with the director on the clothing collection – inspired by the Peaky Blinders series – which debuted at London Fashion Week Men’s 2019.

But, before we get our hopes up there’s some bad news. The BBC has dismissed all rumors that the former England captain is set to appear in the highly-anticipated new series, which will be available on these shores on Netflix.

A spokesman for the show confirmed to the Manchester Evening News that David had just been to visit the cast on set for the day and nothing more.

It wouldn’t have been the first acting appearance for David, who has managed to get two cameo appearances under his belt thanks to close pal and film director, Guy Ritchie.

In 2015 he had a small part in The Man From U.N.C.L.E. then two years later he was in King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, which got some seriously mixed reviews from fans.

David’s surprise outing in Stockport comes shortly after he graced the cover of LOVE magazine.

Victoria Beckham’s hot hubby – who is no stranger to experimenting when it comes to style – rocked a very bold turquoise eye shadow for the shoot.

     Ooo-er!
