Actor Jude Law made waves around the world this week when photos surfaced online of him filming scenes from the upcoming HBO limited series, The New Pope. The images of Law’s fit body and good looks almost broke the internet, as the kids say…
The series is a follow-up to 2016’s The Young Pope, which starred Law as the sovereign of the Vatican City State. Law’s Pope Pius XIII, born Lenny Belardo, is a deeply conservative character on the show, but it seems – at least in these stills – that he’s relaxed a bit.
And while the photos don’t necessarily reveal anything new about Law, (though he is, um, ‘bulging’ in all the right places) the 46-year-old English actor is proof to balding men everywhere that you can also the internet to a gawping froth, so long as you are rich, tanned, conventionally attractive, famous, physically fit, experiencing a mid-career resurrection, and willing to wear underwear in public!
The Captain Marvel actor’s intriguing photos were celebrated in various ways by folks on Twitter.
With some remarking on how Law seemingly gets hotter and hotter with every passing year.
ILt’s certainly all grist for the HBO mill….these pictures are almost certain to bring a spike in the show’s viewing figures when it airs later this year.
The New Pope will not be a second series of The Young Pope but rather a second limited series set in the world of the modern papacy.
And if these images are anything to go by, I’ll be watching…..religiously
