Katy Perry (aka Mrs. Russell Brand) showed up to perform with Akon for the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in NYC on Wednesday night.
She’s never been one to be upstaged, but this might have been her toughest challenge…
When you are up against some of the most frighteningly beautiful and most desired women in the world it almost doesn’t matter what you do. However, the newlywed had a bit of the Lady Gaga thing going on as she did her best, serenading the all-star crowd with a medley of her hits.
And the next morning’s reviews revealed she did quite the job!
In a recent Harpers Bazaar interview, Katy said, “Like Ludacris rapped, ‘I’m a lady in the street and a freak in the bed, I can’t rate myself, but if you ask Russell, I’m sure he’d give me a ten out of ten.”

Here I was thinking she was brave by simply just taking the stage. God help our little American pop songstress because these might have been some of the shortest nuptials in recorded history had Russell possessed a backstage laminate!
