It seems to have been on the cards for a while now but after months of denying it, showbiz couple Anna Friel and David Thewlis have finally announced they are splitting up… not the best timing I’m sure you’ll agree, especially with Christmas just around the corner.
The couple has been together for nine years after meeting on a plane to Cannes, and has a 5-year-old daughter named Gracie.
It’s been said that the couple’s acting commitments had put a strain on their relationship over the past 6 months. They have tried to keep the troubled time quiet to protect everyone involved, but sadly, it has made them realize that the relationship is indeed over.
Friel, 34, and Thewlis, 47, will spend some of the festive period together for the sake of their daughter… I’m sure the pair will be able to put their differences aside and not make the ‘season of jolly’ too painful this year…
