With Katy Perry being in the middle of a world tour and Russell Brand busy promoting and making movies, it’s got to be difficult to find quality time to spend together…But a surprise guest appearance on Oprah’s Winfrey‘s post Oscars show seems the perfect excuse to reunite the married couple.
The sexy singer flew 13 hours to perform her hit single Firework, with Staten Island children’s choir PS22, on Oprah’s “Ultimate After Oscars Party” at the city’s Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. After the performance, the youngster’s students huddled around Katy, exchanging high fives before husband Russell picked her up and whisk her home for the evening.
Posting on her Twitter feed after the show, Katy said: ‘Today was such a beautiful day. PS 22 & Oprah made ME feel like a firework… refocused me & reminded me of my purpose. Thank you.”
Russell seemed to be as blown away by his wife’s performance as the rest of the audience and tweeted soon after: ‘did you see my missus on Oprah? With that PS 22 kids choir! So cute! So sexy! (Kids cute, missus sexy-if that needs clarifying)’…And I’m sure Russell wouldn’t mind if I totally agreed with him. Katie looked gorgeous in her high stiletto boots and big fluffy fake fur gilet…I bet the pair didn’t waste any time making fireworks of their own, before Katy flew back to Europe to continue her tour…Lucky guy!
