Being Neil Armstrong
40 years ago, Neil Armstrong made one of the most advanced steps in mankind as being the first man to set foot on the moon. And in the four decades since he first set foot on the moon, Armstrong has become increasingly reclusive. Andrew Smith, author of the best-selling book Moondust, sets out across America to find out about the real Neil Armstrong since walking on the moon. Andrew meets the people who knew the national hero, from his best friend to his barber, and finds the places where he lived and worked to discover the true nature of this most elusive and enigmatic man of the 20th Century.
Being Neil Armstrong premieres Tuesday, November 17, 8:00 p.m. ET/PT
Apollo Wives
Apollo Wives looks in detail at the wives of Apollo astronauts – what it meant to be an Apollo wife, what was required of them by their astronaut husbands, by NASA and by the media. As America shot for the moon, these women were the focus of the world’s media and were right at the heart of the most ambitious journey for mankind. In a series of exclusive interviews, the women reveal their remarkable stories and how it felt to watch their husbands blast off into space – and about the death, danger and divorce they faced as many of their spacemen struggled to come back to Earth.
Apollo Wives premieres Tuesday, November 24, 8:00 p.m. ET/PT
