Controversial comedian Kathy Griffin will host a special one-hour television program called Kathy Griffin’s Insightful and Hilarious Take on the Royal Wedding that will be broadcast on the TV Guide Network on the same day as Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding ceremony.
Regarding her high class hosting ability, Griffin joked: “I’m thrilled at the opportunity to take TV Guide Network to a level of high class … or down to the gutter; I haven’t decided which… Either way, as a longtime royal watcher — and let’s be honest, I’m referring to Prince Harry’s adorable arse — I’m eminently qualified to cover the wedding of the year, and not just because I once saw Helen Mirren at In-N-Out Burger.”
Griffin added: “If I can survive having Brooke Shields as my maid of honor (go ahead and Google that one, I’ll wait) then I’m fully prepared for that cozy little chapel of love called Westminster Abbey. And by Westminster Abbey I mean a TV studio full of judgment.”
Kathy Griffin’s Insightful and Hilarious Take on the Royal Wedding and the actual ceremony itself can both be seen on Friday, April 29th.
Hopefully, William and Kate’s wedding will turn out better than Kathy’s… she divorced former hubby Matt Moline in 2006 after five years of marriage. She later accused Moline of stealing $72,000 from her, on Larry King Live, no less.
