So, the most anticipated TV show of the year, the US version of the X Factor, finally got underway and the question on everyone’s lips is – will Cheryl Cole get the seal of approval from the American audience? Well, if day one is anything to go by then the answer is most certainly, YES!
Not only was she greeted by “We love you Cheryl” chants, but the queen of talent show judges, Paula Abdul, was quick to give the gorgeous Brit the thumbs up, as she tweeted to have two million strong twitter army of followers that Cole is a ‘delight’ to work with. Abdul later posted a picture of the herself with her co-judge Cheryl as an introduction to the American people and said, “Gotta tell you bout Cheryl – ‘The Fierce’ is STRONG w/ this one! she’s lovely!”
With new friends like that looking after you there’s no doubt Cheryl is going to be a major success!
The sexy 27-year-old singer seemed a little nervous on her first day at her new job, as she introduced herself to the awaiting crowd, she said, “You might have to bear with me on the accent. I hope you are all looking forward to getting to know me”. But after a mute start in the first few auditions, she soon got set in her ways and showed why she was the best choice for the job! Good on you Chez!
And in case you’re wondering if the accent has been a problem thus far, well just ask Abdul of course, “She’s a delight, lovely and sweet. What accent?”
Um, Paula you clearly haven’t been to Newcastle, trust me Cheryl’s accent is not as full on as most Geordies I know, and if you had been there you wouldn’t be saying that!
