Kate Middleton appears to be following in the philanthropic footsteps of Princess Diana as she recently signed up to be patron of a charity that grants wishes for critically ill children called The Starlight Children’s Foundation. Henry Breakwell, the foundation’s spokesman, said:“She and Prince William have both been great supporters in the past and attended fundraising events.”
Prince William has already granted one wish for the foundation, entertaining a six-year-old girl suffering from heart disease, and his wife plans on cheering up the lives of many more special children. The late Princess of Wales was dubbed the ‘people’s princess’ because of her commitment to charity work and Kate seems to be on her way to continuing the tradition of humanitarian service.
Keep up the great work Kate! I wonder what nickname the new Princess will acquire…
