FANS OF the popular British series Doc Martin will want to tune in KCET this week for a a weekly behind-the-scenes look at the popular TV station’s highest-rated series.
Beginning Dec. 8, viewers will get the chance to explore the world of the famous doctor and the cast of colorful characters with weekly clips shot exclusively on site in the town of Port Isaac, where the series takes place.
Featuring everything from proactive interviews with the actors to hints of what is in store for the next season, the special 8-minute clips will follow every episode of Doc Martin, which stars Martin Clunes in the title role, leading up to the finale of Season Four later this month.
The segments also offer a preview of season 5 of the series, which will air on KCET in Spring 2012.
Doc Martin is one of several British programs that have delivered some of KCET’s highest ratings since it split from PBS to become an independent public television station. Other distinctive shows from Great Britain on KCET include BBC World News, Rosemary and Thyme, MI5, Prime Suspect, Hustle and a host of royal wedding coverage surrounding the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
