A new preview for the rebooted Spider-Man movie, The Amazing Spider-Man, premiered recently and the trailer offers fans a more indicative illustration of what to expect from the upcoming superhero flick.
The promotional clip reveals several dark action scenes and gives viewers a closer look at British star Andrew Garfield as the web-slinger and rising ingénue Emma Stone as his love interest, Gwen Stacy.
Other details of the story are also unveiled including the premise that Peter Parker is living with both his Aunt May, portrayed by Sally Field, and Uncle Ben, played by Martin Sheen. Welsh actor Rhys Ifans shows off his sinister talents as Dr. Curt Connors, a suspicious scientist and former acquaintance of Peter’s dead father.
The trailer effectively promotes the entrails of a solid superhero saga, but does not necessarily demonstrate a film that lives up to the title’s declaration of “amazing.” The Amazing Spider-Man is expected to sling into cinemas on July 4, 2012.
