With their hectic schedules often leading to weeks apart, supermodel-turned-actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley reunited with her hunky action-hero boyfriend, Jason Statham at the weekend.
The loved-up British celebrity couple, both looking happy and relaxed and dressed in casual attire, headed hand-in-hand to Taverna Tony’s restaurant in Malibu, for a spot of lunch, and to spend some much-needed quality time together.
It’s been non-stop lately for Statham, who has been busy filming three movies due for release later this year – Parker opposite Jennifer Lopez, Safe, as well as The Expendables 2 with an all star studded line-up that includes Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Liam Hemsworth.
As for Rosie, she’s hoping in-demand director Guy Ritchie will cast her in a plum role oppositeRobert DowneyJr. And Jude Law in the next ‘Sherlock Holmes’ installment. She too has been busy concentrating on her hugely successful modeling career after receiving not-so-hot reviews for her acting debut in Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
However, I am told the catwalk queen is determined to prove she is more than just a pretty face and has a bunch of potential ‘lead-role’ projects in the pipeline.
Jason could always pick up the dog-and-bone and call to Ritchie to pull a few strings for his lovely girlfriend. The two are old muckers since Ritchie gave Statham his big break back in 1998. The director spotted Statham flogging jewelry on a London street and promptly cast him in his breakout film, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
So, it shouldn’t be too difficult for him to make that one happen for his fragrant Rosie…
