Most would agree that seeing Victoria Beckham with a smile is a rarity – and she would probably be the first to admit it.
The ex-Spice Girl-turned-designer is fully aware of her sourpuss image, but insists she is not nearly as unhappy as she looks in most public appearances and photographs.
Recently pictured looking tired and frail, the mother-of-four says her nickname, ‘Posh’, was down to her moody pout and addiction to designer clothes.
“Yes, I created this persona and I’m very different from that,” she told German’s Interview magazine.
But, despite attempts to show off her fun side on Twitter, Mrs. Beckham is giving up trying to prove she is happy, she said: “I don’t feel like I have to scream and shout about it – I know I am a happy person, so I don’t get upset when people comment on the fact that I look quite miserable all the time.
Sometimes I think the same thing when I look at the pictures.”
However, you have to admire Posh’s frankness when asked about leaving pop music behind for a fashion career.
The self-deprecating 38-year-old said: “Was music my talent? No, I don’t think I was particularly talented. With the other girls, the five of us really worked together.”
