Martin Jarvis stars in The Browning Version at UCLA

L.A. Theatre Works will record a new production of The Browning Version –  Terence Rattigan’s classic drama – with a distinguished British cast headed up by Martin Jarvis and Ian Ogilvy, later this month at the James Bridges Theater at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, 235 Charles E. Young Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90095.

Stuck in a broken marriage and facing the prospect of a retirement with no money, classics master Mr. Crocker-Harris (Jarvis) is a tyrant hated by his students. But an unexpected act of kindness breaks his emotional shell, bringing out the deep-rooted dignity and heartbreaking sadness that give this play its power. All performances will be recorded to air on L.A. Theatre Works’ syndicated radio theater series, which broadcasts weekly on public radio stations nationwide and can be streamed on demand at www.latw.org

Tickets are priced at $15-$49 and performances are as follows: Thursday, June 21 @ 8 pm, Friday, June 22 @ 8 pm,  Saturday, June 23 @ 3 pm & 8 pm and Sunday, June 24 @ 2 pm.
