THE BRITISH Community was out in force last Friday (June 8th) at the official opening of Ye Olde Kings Head II in Studio City. Among those in attendance for the jam-packed debut of the new pub  were owners Donal Travey and Paul Boettcher, plus staff and friends including Lisa Powers and husband Buster, Raul Dorado, Lynda Rose, immigration consultant Naz Nodjoumi, Union Jack columnist Karen Lewis, Pitch Ink publicist Rachel Charles and former IBF Super Featherweight Champion Steve ‘2lbs’ Forbes.

Lisa Powers (operations manager at the Santa Monica location) told the British Weekly that the construction crew had been ‘working round the clock’ to transform the space into a space fitting of the King’s Head name, and they certainly have done a capital job. The site – formerly the home of Pinot Bistro – already looks like a proper English pub and expats and Anglophiles alike will surely be turning this welcome addition to the British community into a home away from home in Studio City.
