Rooney shrugs off Euro 2012 loss with LA getaway…

HE MIGHT have been devastated after England were knocked out of Euro 2012 on Sunday, but you’d never had known it from Wayne Rooney’s relaxed mood in the swimming pool atop a swanky West Hollywood hotel this week.

The  England star sunbathed and frolicked with wife Coleen just days after England’s latest penalty shootout exit from a major tournament.

While Coleen,26, showed off her trim shape in a small tribal print bikini as she lounged on a bed, Rooney kept cool in the pool and generally kept to himself, although he did allow himself to have a picture taken with a delighted fan.

The couple were careful in the heat and were seen applying sunscreen in a liberal fashion.

While Coleen, who already boasts a dark tan, sprayed herself with oil, Wayne rubbed in the cream and spent plenty of time ducking into the shade.

And the 26-year-old footballer certainly looked to have put his troubles behind him as he and the missus stepped out for a romantic dinner for two at Boa Steakhouse Wednesday evening.

Wazza even tweeted a personal photo of him cosying up to his wife of four years, with a caption that read: ‘Me and Coleen in los Angeles having dinner. Time to chill.’

In the picture, which appears to have been taken using Instagram, Wayne is seen with his arm around Coleen as they both sport cheesy grins for the camera.

Coleen highlighted her glowing tan in a purple patterned Missoni dress that showed off her legs and arms.

She teamed it with nude peep-toe stilettos and a matching clutch bag and completed her look with large hoop earrings.

Wayne as usual preferred to dress down, spring jeans, trainers and a dark polo top.

After dinner the pair grabbed a taxi home to their hotel, where they probably were not watching re-runs of the latest England disappointment.

And Wazza was not the only England star fleeing to LA this week. Earlier on  Tuesday defender Ashley Cole  – who missed a penalty in the shoot-out – was also pictured arriving at LAX.
